Super Mario Bros.

This video was part of my Bachelor thesis at the University of Applied science and art Hannover. The Super Mario Bros. game, released on the Nintendo Entertainment System, is not longer bound to the television size and get interactive with a new environment. The emphasis of my thesis is on the matchmoving work. It is the process of matching CG elements into live-action footage.

„Irgendwann vor einiger Zeit ist das Königreich der friedlichen Pilzmenschen von den Kupas erobert worden, einem Schildkrötenvolk, das wegen seiner schwarzen Magie berüchtigt ist. Die gemütlichen, ruheliebenden Pilzmenschen wurden in Steine, Ziegel, ja sogar Unkräuter verwandelt, und ihr Königreich verfiel. Die einzige, die den Zauber wieder rückgängig machen und den Pilzmenschen ihre Gestalten zurückgeben könnte, ist Prinzessin Fliegenpilz , die Tochter des Pilzmenschenkönigs. Aber Sie befindet sich leider in der Gewalt des mächtigen Kupaschildkröten-Königs. FLUFFY MC CLOUD

A short film about man's misunderstanding and mixed relationship with mother nature (barf!)..

This is my graduate film from IADT National Film School.. Its a bit of a mix of stop-motion, live action and hand drawn animation, shot in my attic on a Cannon EOS 5D, Cannon 450D and a 7D too (basically any camera i could borrow from friends and siblings). i hope you like it!

'Coalition of the Willing' is a collaborative animated film and web-based event about an online war against global warming in a 'post Copenhagen' world.

‘Coalition of the Willing’ has been Directed and produced by Knife Party, written by Tim Rayner and crafted by a network of 24 artists from around the world using varied and eclectic film making techniques. Collaborators include some of the world’s top moving image talent, such as Decoy, World Leaders and Parasol Island.

The film offers a response to the major problem of our time: how to galvanize and enlist the global publics in the fight against global warming. This optimistic and principled film explores how we could use new Internet technologies to leverage the powers of activists, experts, and ordinary citizens in collaborative ventures to combat climate change. Through analyses of swarm activity and social revolution, 'Coalition of the Willing' makes a compelling case for the new online activism and explains how to hand the fight against global warming to the people.

RethinkTO wall mural art by Chairman Ting

A commissioned wall mural piece for Rethink's new Toronto office. The wall (25 ft. x 11 ft.) was done in 2.5 days (40+ hours) by Chairman Ting and assisted by Denise Cheung (AKA Denisekiwah). The wall was painted entirely with acrylic paint. Shot and documented with a Nikon D90 + Nikkor 28mm-80mm AF. Cut and edited with Quicktime 7 Pro.

The Durex baby case was created by Nicolai Villads, Peter Ammentorp and interactive designer: Raul Montenegro graduates at the Danish Institute of Media and Journalism. The case is fictitious and was created for the Future Lions 2010 competition (www.futurelions.com)

The footage was recorded with the Canon 5D MKII using a 24-105 mm. 4,0. and a 50 mm. 1,4. The baby was created by Raul Montenegro using Z-brush and cinema 4D. Post in After Effects and final edit in Final Cut Pro 2

Instead we’ll just say our strong personalities work perfectly well together. Call it intuitive collaboration, gifted teamwork or even synergy, this is one of our main assets.
