Comme vous le savez sans doute, Coldplay met à disposition gratuitement le single Violet Hill annonçant le nouvel album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends.

Une intro très progressive, un piano renforcé par une rythmique lente et lourde, un riff de guitare assez déroutant pour du Coldplay, et bien sûr la voix de Chris Martin, plutôt bien maitrisée au moment de monter dans les aigus pour le refrain. Un bon premier single, un retour en force assuré pour le groupe, on n’en attendait pas moins de toute façon. Il y a du travail pour faire oublier l’insipide X&Y de toute façon.
